You'll have to excuse me if I don't find Nygma the most reliable source of information. He could be telling the truth as far as he understands it, but that doesn't make his observations accurate.

The mask is a psychological tool. Some people can't appreciate the obvious difference.

Of course I have. In one way or another, we all wear masks. Some are just more obvious than others.

I'd agree to that. Of course, the benefit to masks is that you can always take them off. Invent a new one for yourself, if necessary.

Unless your mask becomes your face.

I'm afraid that might be stretching the metaphor a little too far.

You'd be surprised at how little stretching is involved.
