It's amazing how much all of you can talk in one day. This is some kind of flood, I assume?

Oh, good show, Admiral. I'll keep in mind that abrupt disappearances are now one of the many punishment options that you offer alongside floods, ports and zero. Bravo.

I had to use that toxin for other purposes. It wasn't anything personal.

I hadn't requested it. It was the last thing that I possibly could have wanted. It's better to be here than to be nowhere.

[Here's him not mentioning that they were assigned. Because he doesn't want to talk about it, because he'd end up mentioning how very relieved he is to have a warden that seems kind of sane. If weird.]

[Pause.] Nygma told me that I'd been gone for sixteen days. Is that correct?

You didn't return home or anything like that?

I believe you were missing for longer than that, but it's possible you were avoiding me. [He sounds amused rather than critical.]

[There's a pause, then Eames is a little more hesitant.] Do you want me to ask the Admiral to reassign you?

No. I've effectively been dead for the last sixteen days.

[Have a pause as well.] I might have been avoiding you. But I don't want to be reassigned.

I'm sorry. It's not an enjoyable place to be. [Because he's been in dreams like that. :| Or in hiding.]

[Pause.] Good.

Then we need to talk about your friend, Edward, and the fear toxin he stole from Arthas if you don't mind. We can also talk about whatever it is you wanted to speak about, with or without spirits to accompany.

Will you come see me tonight, if nothing else? I want to ensure that you're actually you and that you're alright. [Yes, that might be some concern there.]

I'd almost rather remember it, then have weeks of lost time.

I'll see you tonight, preferably with alcohol involved. Having an existential crisis does seem to encourage drinking. We can talk about Nygma then, if you want. And the rest of it.

I have a good collection. If you're comfortable with it, I'd rather enjoy the two of us getting pissed and having a laugh. After our talks, of course. I'd require you to spend the night if that's the case.

I doubt that I'll be particularly amused with the situation even if I'm not sober, but I'll take you up on your offer regardless.

Also. There's someone new with a room close to mine who seems to have serious anger management issues. Roman Sionis. Have you heard of him?

Oh, and your spiders are alive. I'm not entirely certain they're well, but I did my best. [YES, HE BROKE INTO YOUR ROOM JUST TO FEED YOUR SPIDERS... and go through all your stuff.]

Nothing more than a standard over the journals argument. Apparently I was being loud. [Crane's tone indicates that he doesn't think that he was.]

[Pause. Spiders are in his room. Awkward.] Thank you. I assume that Two has refrained from consuming more of Three?

Do be careful around him. He seems to have a violent streak. [Matter-of-factly.]

[Pause.] None of them ate the other, if that's what you mean.

Excellent. Another violent neighbor. But all the same, thank you for the warning.

That's good. One of them is a bit aggressive. I was considering removing him to assist the rest of the population. [All two of them.]

[Long pause.] You're welcome to stay in my room if you ever need. I could request another bed for you. It's certainly large enough. Not for any permanent situation, of course, but for the odd night.

Oh, not for him. He seems like the kind where his bark is worse than his bite. He's no Arthas. [Pause.] Where is Arthas? What's he been doing?

Went on a bit of a rampage with his sword, made some zombies. I'm not certain if he's still in level zero for it. I can tell you he's a bit less level and potentially more violent. I'd avoid him.

It seems the most practical, unless you had something else in mind?

Joy. I'm profoundly disappointed that his claims of supernatural powers over the dead turned out to be real.

No, that's suitable. If I turn up early you can assume that I've been avoiding Arthas.

Jealous you don't have your own superpowers, Jonathan?

No. In my own experience, people with such powers rarely put any effort into developing other potential weapons. Like their mind.

I try. Have you got a plan in mind for how to handle the Arthas situation?

I rather enjoy it. It's a good reminder for you not to get yourself in a similar situation. [You can hear the smile in his voice.]

I don't intend to get myself into a similar situation. The fallout from working with Arthas was worse than any potential benefits that it could have ever had. [Honesty! What a strange thing.]

[Deadly serious.] Good. Something needs to be done.

I hope you're being honest about that. [Eames is still burned by Crane's lie about stuff shortly before leaving.]

Given the past, I don't expect you to believe me. But it is true.

I don't believe you'll walk into one knowing entirely what it is, but I do doubt your likelihood of considering a person fully before entering into an arrangement. [Pause.] Perhaps that's another talk best saved for tonight. We have a great deal of catching up to do, it seems.
