doctor_j_crane: Crane looking like he's arguing. (Let me explain)

[53] - [Voice]

You know, after all the months fawning after Adam I'd imagined that some of you would tire of his presence. But all I hear in the dining hall is about Adam. "Adam saved me during a flood." This person had a tryst with Adam. Adam is such a wonderful person.

Well, let me tell you a story about Adam, barge. It was during a particularly nasty port where myself and a former barge member called Irene Adler were stuck in a ward, attempting to avoid being gruesomely murdered by no less than one dozen undead patients. Despite Adler's skills and my efforts, we were unable to hold off the hoards of undead. You can understand our surprise when Adam burst into the room and started assisting us. We managed to kill the zombies, following a rather ingenious plan of Adam's involving a puddle of water and some faulty wiring on one of the medical machines.

Do you see the problem with this story, barge? Adam could have killed both Adler and I. But he was so wrapped up in his heroics that he failed to consider that some of us might not want to get electrocuted. He simply didn't care. Instead, he forced his plan on us and hoped for the best. [Crane does not sound impressed.] Classical Adam. No sense of boundaries, no urge to ask permission or for the input of others. And yet, he seems to be one of the most well known people on board. I fail to understand his appeal.

[Rant over. Crane pauses for a few moments.] Hayley. Claire. Nygma. I want to talk to you three. Despite my continuing lack of filters.

[OOC: Sorry, Adam. Crane is so emotionally functional in how he shows his respect. Also, his flood affected-ness is to be more empathetic, so he might feel bad if you bring up past issues. Although you might not be able to tell.]

EAMES :CC DDD: And Spam? c:

Well, if that's the sort of thing that you enjoy.

I'll see you then.

We can start a spam! Eames dies the 28th.

Don't enjoy games you're not guaranteed to win at?

Lol, Arthur. You crazy man. c:

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-04-30 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
No. Strangely enough, I don't.
aforger: (should-- should feed it back to us [w])

:]

It's very like you. Although, to be truthful, I hadn't realized you were that insecure.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-05-01 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not insecure. I'm just getting tired of being the person who is always murdered or otherwise attacked.
aforger: (this ariadne is a kick)

What? Losing a game of cards is the equivalent?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-05-01 11:00 am (UTC)(link)
In a way, yes. If you're playing with other people on the barge it goes from simply being another game to 'I'm proving that I'm better than you.'

Have you considered that your attitude may reflect your own perceptions and not those of the Barge as a whole?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
I have. And I've concluded that I'm right regardless.
aforger: (lolkick 2.0 [w])

[personal profile] aforger 2011-05-04 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
At least you're honest with me.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 09:11 am (UTC)(link)
Honest enough to get my filters back?

Not when that might have been your intention all along.

I'll give you some back soon, so long as you continue to be honest with me.

So trusting, Eames.

That's fine. Progress is progress.

To be fair, Eames, I haven't done a great deal wrong in the past few weeks.

Private - Meaning can we wrap this one up shortly? xD

Think about it. We'll talk again when you're more sorted.

Fine. We'll discuss it later.
