[83] - [Voice, Private to Kay]
Do I have your permission to work in the infirmary? They're short staffed.
[And another private to the Marquis]
Did you survive the port?

As much as people wanted to initiate a liberation movement and the state of the planet had descended into anarchy among the various ruling races, the regime was the current governing body and consisted of thousands of individuals that couldn't be deposed by an overthrow organized by a hundred people that just stepped foot on that world and were more than likely going to be yanked away three days later whether they wanted to be or not with no time to fully familiarize themselves with the history of the conflict and social weaknesses of the enemy.
Glad you kept out of trouble though. Good job helping out now.

[A pause.] I admit, some of my desire to assist the infirmary now stems from the fact that I did so little in the port. I should have done more to help them.

I think right now you could be a pretty big help. If Dr. McCoy needs me to be there for supervision, I can be. But I really think you're capable of making those decisions on your own.

I'll pass that message along to him. Hopefully he'll see reason. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't always got along with him in the past.

If you have any trouble, let me know. He's kind of a hardass, [as if you're not, Kay.] but he just wants what's the best for his patients.

He's agreed to it. I think I'd probably agree with your assessment. He does seems somewhat set in his views though.
