I’m out of zero, since the warden administration decided to get their act together. [Eye roll, Crane’s obviously not impressed with the time he spent down there.]

Unsurprisingly, nothing has changed. Good job though, with getting rid of the fear gas mess so far. The dining hall is looking quite pleasant. You could almost eat your lunch there without thinking about someone getting murdered where your chair is. [Crane just smiles at the camera for a long moment, before flicking it off.]

[Private – Irene Adler]

I don’t suppose you know anything about this? [Crane holds up a wad of paper which appears to be a file on Irene, with a kiss in lipstick on the top. He’s put it in a plastic sleeve to avoid touching the icky lady germs.]

I’m out of zero, finally, but you’re not in the infirmary. Where are you?

Mass murder in the dining room was old news long before you showed up. But hey, keep striving for originality there, slick.

[Crane took the quick walk up to the first floor. He remembered where Rose's room was from his previous visit to get the herbs. He heisitated slightly before knocking on the door.]

I'm pretty sure only one person died in the dining hall that day. Stop patting yourself on the back.

Really? I know Judas killed one, but I was under the impression that there were others from the way they were all carrying on. [Crane sounds disappointed. Awwww.]

As a matter of fact I haven't done anything, but I never claimed I did. All I'm doing is pointing out that being a smug jerk about whatever you did kind of loses its impact when somebody's already done it, and did it more effectively.

Injuries, certainly. But as for death, just the one in the dining hall. [Lalala not bringing up his own.]

It would be more helpful if you provided examples, instead of just throwing grand statements around.

How disappointing. From the way some of the wardens have been lecturing me, you'd think that I personally took out a whole floor.

[Rose stood up from her desk and walked over, unlocking her door and cautiously opening it. When she saw Crane's face, she pulled it open fully to allow him inside.]

Try looking up Shinzon. He melted maybe twenty, thirty people back in March.

You do know that bringing it up is a surefire way to piss of inmates not wardens right? Wardens don't give a damn what we say.

It's unfair to compare people with special powers to people without.

The wardens don't react, but it doesn't mean that they aren't watching.

[Crane noted the locked door and Rose's quick check around it, but didn't comment on it. He stepped inside.] You look much better then when I last saw you.

Special powers? Shinzon? Noooo. He's just a creepy nerd with anger management issues - went the mad science route, just the same as you.

I've had quite a while to recover. [She shut the door when he entered and locked it. For a moment, she was silent, almost awkward about this situation, but she was quickly over it, deciding that her emotions were not beneficial in this case. So...to more business-y things!]

I had a talk with your new warden. [Her loyalty was to Crane, after all. Not his warden.]

What? [Crane was honestly put off footing by that. He had expected many things from a new warden, but not for them to be particularly efficient or watchful. Perhaps that had changed now.] What did she want to talk about? Or did you want to talk to her?

I'm hardly going to believe this story without some evidence. Is this Shinzon still on the barge?

You simply facilitated chaos. Not particularly ambitious.

[She poured him a cup of cider she had been saving and frowned.] Why would I want to talk to her? [Sitting down, she took her own drink and leaned back.]

No, she was wanting to know all about me since she knows that we are...[THe schoolteacher trailed off, thinking of the right word.] Friends. [Well, that would have to do.]

Sadly, not everyone has the resources to attempt to steer the barge into an alien planet or something equally spectacular. I did what I could with what I had.
