God damn it. I warned you all, yet you went to the carnival anyway. Where's the girl who was shot?

I would warn the rest of you, this is the tip of the iceberg. We need these people out of our town and this carnival gone. Now. Or is one girl being shot not enough? Would you all rather two or three?

Has anyone else been harmed? Physically or financially?

I'm the one who got shot, and it ain't like that at all! I wasn't paying attention and walked right into her practice area as she was making a shot. It's not her fault I went where I shouldn't've, and she and another one of 'em fixed me right up. They were nice people!

Oh, that doesn't make sense at all. If she'd hit me on purpose she wouldn't've been so concerned for me. She called for a doctor, and when nobody showed she got her friend to take care of it. And like I said, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

The bullet just grazed the left side'a my neck. All I'm gonna have is a little scar.

You're just talking foolish now. If she wanted to cover anything, she just could've shot me dead--nobody would've known where I was in the first place. She wouldn't've put herself on the line by asking for help if she didn't care.

A lot closer than I would've been had I stuck to the areas I was allowed, I figure. Had I done that, this wouldn't've even happened.

I am thinking for myself. They didn't blame me--said it wasn't my fault, in fact--I'm blaming me. It was a stupid accident, I caused it, and everyone should just let it go already because rehashing it ain't gonna help anyone.

I was wandering around and hoping I'd stumble on a new exhibit, is what I was doing. I'd just finished walking the freak tent and didn't know where to go next.

Seems to me they're the good people everyone hates, and everyone else but them and Daddy just walked right on by like in the story.
