Mar. 17th, 2012 01:26 pmSince landing in this den of filth and depravity, I have seen many things that have shocked my finer sentiments. I have seen a man continue to drink, even as he lay in the mud. Did he not recognise the extent to which he had fallen in this world? Did he not realise that he was little better than the animals left rolling in their refuse so close to where he lay? I considered this, as I walked within the town. I considered the users of witchcraft that I had encountered, men and women who would risk the crumbling of their soul within their chest for such fraction of what the higher powers that be would provide to men of greater standing.
But more than this, I considered the pirates that fill this place to the brim. They scramble with their filthy hands for coin, drink and women. It seems strange to me. Those who pursue the sea, a profession that no doubt should only attract the most hardy of souls, seem to fall so quickly into depravity. Did they not realise that they could be saved? For every man within this port can be. You merely need to look within your heart and realise the error that you have made. I have no doubt that some of you must feel it weighing upon your chest.
I can save you, sirs. I can save the men and the women who have lost their souls in this place. They can be restored to you and you can join me at the high table of heaven. I merely ask that you report to me. I will organise your salvation. It is merely a short, unpleasant drop that lies between you and eternal glory. There is no shame in hanging, for that is the one thing that will redeem you above all else. It is a noble thing. I beseech you to do it, before your souls become even further sullied by those around you.

No doubt you have all heard of Commodore Prefect's plight. Do not seek to rescue him, my friends. He understands his fate and the rewards that are set before him. Do not seek to keep him on this sinful earth for longer than is necessary.
[OOC: Crane is a hanging naval captain, to put it lightly! Feel free to have any of your naval people hate his guts, since he's obviously way over the other side of bigoted crazy.]
