I would like to inform you all that the large amount of mixing species in the port will probably lead to a wide variety of intergalactic diseases that one can acquire. Staying on the barge would likely be your best option. For those of you who simply cannot resist your more base urges, I'm sure that you'll have a great deal of exciting time in the infirmary later. At the very least, it should give them something new to study.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking to the left, making a weird face. (Not awesome)
I don't like that Narvin can decide when I work in the lab based on his social calender. I'd like to have Capa placed in charge of my lab supervision, given that it's not like he has an off barge social life in the slightest.

I'd also like some explanation of that Alpha fellow. You didn't seem to have an overly comfortable conversation with him on your journal. [Stalker Crane is stalking you, Kay.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane with a guy walking away behind him. (Stalkeration)
Before anyone asks, I'm not entirely sure if this is my Gotham or another one. I'd advise you avoid anyone in a scarecrow costume if you go into port. I can't guarantee any quick fix antidotes for any toxins that another me might have, even if I did deign to attempt to make one.

[Private - Kay]

I want to go down into the city. I know it's dangerous down there, but I think that there are some things I need to do.

[Private - Eddie N.]

So, is this the Gotham that you call home?

[Private - Capa]

Are you going into port? I probably wouldn't recommend it, considering that someone with our appearance might be here.

[OOC: Herp de derp, Crane hasn't worked out that there isn't another Crane in port.]

I am somehow not surprised that the majority of people on the barge seem to have terrible parents. The sheer amount of dysfunction is staggering.

Although I would like to recommend that all parents examine our filter system. I have a feeling that your offspring would appreciate it. I also have my own filters back, with some supervision. [Crane doesn't even sound bothered. He's too pleased with having even some filters back.]

[Private - Eddie Nygma (+Eames)]

Eames supervised, mind you. Is there anyone you know here? There seems to be quite the parade of citizens from your Gotham.

[Private - Eames]

I keep on getting offered things.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Okay)
Graduation seems to be a relative thing. I fail to understand how the Admiral prevents the somewhat inevitable relapse that would occur when an inmate returned to their place of origin. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I would continue doing exactly what I'd been doing before. I wouldn't even really term it a 'relapse', since it's only a relapse by the Admiral's standards. A return to a scientific pursuit would be a more accurate term.

[Pause.] These floods are getting more and more ridiculous. The only cold comfort that goes along with this type of floods is that people rarely seem to care or remember what's revealed during them.

[Private - Edward Nygma]

We need to talk about those transcripts.

[Private - Eames]

I feel like I should be getting together a list of people who have threatened to kill me.

I would like to apologize- [He stops, because he sounds sarcastic. It's like a natural reflex. He continues on more normally.] I would sincerely like to apologize to Hayley Stark for dosing her with a highly unpleasant fear toxin last July, according to the calendar that the Admiral has inflicted on us. It was unwarranted in her case.

[Added later: Crane sounds exasperated.] And in the case of anyone else who was affected at the time.

[Added even later: Crane's getting used to it.] Including people who were directly killed as a result of it, otherwise indirectly impacted or generally traumatized by the experience. At the time I clearly needed to work out who was deserving of what.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
For those of you who are obviously behind on barge etiquette, I would recommend pretending that the flood never happened. Never underestimate the power of repression. After all, no one likes to be reminded of that time that they spent a whole day acting ridiculously, even if it is preserved on the journals for prosperity.

[Added later.]

Has anyone spoken to Hayley Stark lately?

[Private - Eames]

Hypothetically, if I were to give you a rather important piece of information, what are the chances of you not running to the rest of the wardens with it?

[Private - Edward Nygma]

We need to talk now. There's been a development with the fear toxin. It's not for the better.

[Private - Hayley]

I need to talk to you. There's a developing situation that you need to be aware of.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking like he's arguing. (Let me explain)
[Crane has his serious business face on. Because this is serious business, guys.]

Influenza, both A and B. Mumps, measles, rubella, the common cold. Cytomegalovirus infections, herpes simplex virus and infectious mononucleosis. [Dramatic pause.] Considering how easily all of these diseases can be transferred orally, can someone please attempt to combat the mistletoe problem? [Crane rejects your Christmas celebrations, apparently diseased people of the barge.]

[Private - Hayley]

I'm not sure how long this mistletoe is going to be up, but I'm reluctant to meet up in person until they're gone.

[Private - Riddler]

Slade said that there were more people from your universe here. Is that true?

[Crane's not affected by the lying flood, but is not happy with the magical impact of some of the Christmas decorations.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Shrink Talk)
One never realizes how pleasant the room system is until one is forced into close proximity with others. Still, I suppose the infirmary does what it can given that they're far from a trained medical team. It's almost adequate, especially given the bizarre medical situations that they're faced with. It's a pity that qualified inmates aren't allowed to take any significant role. [Subtle hinting there Crane.]

[Private - Ms Rose]

I'll need the key to my room back. I trust that everything went well?

[Private - Edward Nygma]

I need to talk to you about using your equipment. It's for something slightly different than in the past. I also need to pick up my sample of the fear toxin.

[Private - Piper]

[Pause at the start before Crane starts talking.] I haven't told anyone about the situation with your son. I don't intend to do so. It's too much leverage for any other inmates.
