doctor_j_crane: Crane in profile, facing to the left. (Awkward)
I would appreciate if you would all ignore Rex's temper tantrum. He's obviously seeking attention and misguided sympathy.

[Added later.]

Rex will be released from zero in three to four hours, pending an important warden-inmate discussion. I would also appreciate it if you could all refrain from continuing to undermine my authority.

[Any explanation of the whole instant zero for Rex? Nope. Ah, wardening.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking to the right. (Concern)
I will be setting up an anonymous clinic on Friday afternoons, where full doctor-patient confidentiality will be in place. For inmates, this means that whatever you bring to me will not be reported to your warden.

[Warden Filter]

Consider this a social experiment. If it becomes too problematic, I won't continue.

[OOC: It sort of is Friday in some places, so if anyone wants to spam/assume, just put a comment in the post. c:]

Given that the prototype for the tranquilizer is going so well, it's probably time that we tried it out. We'll need a delivery system and something or someone to test it on. Voluntarily, of course. I also think the CES might also offer a controlled, yet variable environment to do testing in.

[Private to Infirmary Staff]

Who is in charge in the infirmary at the moment and which one of you is Simon Tam?

[Public]

How many of you know basic first aid? I assume that most of you know next to nothing, but I'd quite like to be proven wrong.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking to the right. (Concern)
I've graduated. I'll be leaving the barge today. [Crane pauses, because that was all he was planning on saying. But now, rambling time.]

I've been on the barge for quite a while. As anyone who knows me will agree, if I can graduate it's entirely possible that anyone can. I suppose I ought to thank those of you who've made a difference to me, which is the vast minority. Thank you for your assistance.

I can safely say that come hell or high water, I won't be returning to the barge as a warden.

[Private - Kay]

Thank you, again.

[Private - Narvin and Dracula]

I apologize that I'm leaving the two of you in the middle of the tranquilizer project.

[Private - The Marquis]

I'm sorry to leave you before we could have a thorough talk about what you're going through.

[Private - Eddie]

Should we meet before I go?

[OOC: Don't be defriending, Crane will be back in a week real time as a canon updated warden! c:]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
Inmates, I have a question for you. If you could have a deal like the wardens have to go along with graduation, would that make you more inclined to make an effort?

[Private - Kay, Eddie Nygma and Capa. Plus Iago.]

Considering that I've been informed that I should come to any of you if I have any issues, I thought that I should take advantage of the opportunity. I want to work in the infirmary. Hypothetically only one of you needs to agree, correct?

[This was up for a few minutes, before it's removed. Feel free to have your bro see it.] Never mind, the situation is resolved.

[Additional Private to Eddie.]

Also, I don't suppose you want to help me move something?
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
Dr Jonathan Crane. [A pause.] I would be particularly interested in individuals that used to be on the barge, if any of you are out there.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sigh forever)
[Crane sounds somewhat breathless.] Do we still have the capacity to bring people back from the dead? Or are we facing something more permanent? And are there any signs that bites from the faceless creatures cause ill effects?

[Pause.] And after people are finished considering that, I'm pinned down by these things on the second floor, if anyone is willing or able to help.

[Private - Eddie]

Are you still alive? Is your room locked? I like to imagine that you've got a secret cache of weapons, as unlikely as that is. But at the very least, I'm going to need that knife. If only to treat this bite.

[Private - Perry]

Considering how often we talk about alliances, this is a good opportunity to actually act on it.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Walking in mah mask)
[Public, minus Arthas. :c]

This door issue is becoming quite tiresome. I propose that we put the magic users in zero for a day or so. Given the nature of their powers, if one of them is intentionally or unintentionally causing this, we'd be able to work out who by a process of elimination. And while I'm not pointing fingers, people like Sveta should be the first to be put down there. We don't need an incident like last time to happen again. And if someone is doing this deliberately, please stop. Surely any humor you derived from the practice has faded.

Admiral, if it's you? Just let the monsters all crawl up through the floors. The faster floods are so much easier for everyone to deal with.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (ZZprincessbraid)
[Port!Crane and Port!Capa appear to be standing in a very large kitchen, finishing off the last notes of a song. There are still small animals flying around polishing things, because that's how cleaning is obviously done. Needless to say, they're both rocking the princess thing. They both look identical, bar clothing and hair color. Crane/Nora looks over to Capa/Dora is currently busy dancing with a mop. It's a talking mop. It's singing.]

Dora, I have heard the most wonderful news! Many travelers have journeyed to the kingdom. Isn't that marvelous. To think, perhaps our troubles would stop.

[After speaking to her sister, Nora pauses for a long second, looking dramatically out the window. Dora stops dancing with the mop to reply, but the mop still continues to dance around the kitchen. Somehow.]

I have seen one! In the market, gathering apples. They should be welcomed. We should have a party!

[Nora nods, solemnly. Parties are very serious business.] Yes, that is quite true. We should get the creatures in the forest to help us clear out father's great hall.

[Dora continues.] Travelers, once you have explored, there will be a celebration in your honor. Tomorrow night! No witches, please.

[Nora adds a bit more.] Or an evil sorcerers, dragons or wizards, unless you promise to behave yourselves.

[They both dash off camera, followed by a flurry of wild animals and a tea set. After a few seconds of silence the mop dances over to the communicator and turns it off.]

[OOC: So, they're the local princesses being princessy. It's not quite clear exactly what they rule, but they do have a big old house. Both Crane (Nora) and her sister (Capa/Dora) will be replying in the comments. It's how they roll.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
For once, I want to hear the opinions of all of you. Wardens, inmates. I don't particularly care which. What do you consider necessary for graduation? Where's the bar that your inmate has to reach? That you think you have to reach as an inmate?

While I've spent most of my life dealing in moral ambiguity, the spectacularly difficult task of identifying just what makes graduating possible is beyond me. It seems to be like some variety of mirage, which you spend all your time following in the hope that one day someone will declare you standing in the middle of it. It's an impossibly frustrating target.

[Private - Eames]

This isn't a criticism of you. I just want to know what they think.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (xxFloodWtf)
This is the worst thing. [Crane sounds young. And crackly. And sulky.] Why don't I get to be old? It's much better than being like this. I don't even know if my higher brain... [Pause. For a long second.] workings are working. I'm not leaving my room until it's over.

Also all the old people should stay away from all the not old people. They might have diseases. But I would still rather be with the old people.

[Warden filter]

You guys can still warden, right? Even without Howie? And even with your bodies like this?

[Private - Eames]

Where are you? Did the flood get you?

[Private - Capa]

The Admiral should have made us old. I hate this. [Crane's assuming that Capa's the same age as him. Because of the animal flood.]

[OOC: So, kid!Crane isn't operating on the same level as standard Crane. And also has a bit of barely suppressed anxiety about old people, particularly old women, stemming from his origin comic.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Through my glasses you look small)
For reasons totally unrelated to the recent flood, I've recently turned my mind to the issue of barge romantic relationships. [Crane sounds awkward just saying it.] Frankly, I'm confused as to why anyone could ever think that it ever would work out. Ignoring numerous public examples of messy arguments between wardens and inmates alike, I've never in my experience heard of a prison being described as a good dating environment. While the inmates do obviously suffer a certain lack of options, it's the wardens that persist in romantic liaisons that surprise me.

How can your supposed relationships have real meaning if they have an expiration date date? Or would you be willing to give up your family, friends and universe for one person who seemed like a good option while you were in a prison? You can believe me when I say that it isn't only unrealistic, it's unhealthy. It's no more valuable than a relationship forged in a war zone, done by the same messy necessity and a certain need to settle for what is available, no matter how substandard. It's disturbing how easily you all seem to give in to the delusion that it means something. It doesn't. It just has that sliver more meaning than the rest of your pointless existence on the barge. Furthermore, it's a disservice to your inmates and not to mention a failure in your duties as wardens. You're not here to find meaningful relationships with each other. You're supposed to be helping us.

[Pause. Crane sounds slightly more amused.] I hadn't done this in a while. It's highly therapeutic for me to tell you all the ways that you're wrong. I recommend it highly to other inmates.

[Private- Edward Nygma]

It could be slightly related to the flood. [The longest pause.] I'm not sure that I want to talk about it. I do apologize though.

[OOC: Whoops, going to do that post and run thing. Will be back in eight hours, after sleep. <3]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (In my crazy corner)
[The angle swings around a bit before it settles on Crane. It's hard to work the buttons with his hands shaking like that. Ah, fear toxin karma. The best variety. Crane is talking very, very quickly.]

It's compelling. Rationally, I am aware of exactly what process my mind is going through. My body. Pulse racing. Perception warping. I can almost pinpoint to the minute of when I would have been dosed. When the reaction began. [Pause.] Perhaps when it ends. Possibly fatally. It depends on the dosage. If I've built up a resistance. If the resistance still lasts through the death toll.

[Crane twitches, before moving slightly to the left, as if there was something sitting next to him.]

I have quite a list of suspects. The Bat Man, for obvious reasons. Eames, in the spirit of extreme wardening. Perhaps. Nygma, because... [Crane trails off. There's no good reason.] It could have been any of you. All of you.

[Crane twitches again, before shifting the camera away from himself.]

I tried to take notes. [He continues, in a very slow voice.] But the hallucinations make it hard to see exactly what I've written. [The camera hovers over a notebook. Crane's right. He's written most of his sentences over the top of each other. What little is legible is a collection of disturbed rambling.] Writing it down didn't help. It didn't help at all.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
Eames, I need my filters back. Right now. [Lol, not gonna happen in time Crane.]

I'm curious as to whether this type of event only draws in people who have previously been on the barge. [Pause.] Not to mention if it's really them. You could all be talking to the Admiral for all you know.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Open door)
[There's just the video posting footage, with no lead in or explanation at all. The angle is fairly steady, and you can make out the fact that it's the inmate showers. The very first shot is of Perry Dawsey hitting Rex in the face, before wrenching off Rex's ventilator because it's getting in the way. There's a fair bit of noise. Perry is yelling as he hits Rex.]

"You like that? You fucking like that? How does it feel?"

[You can clearly see Rex struggling, trying to get the ventilator back, before Perry kicks it away. Perry punches Rex a few more times. It's fairly obvious that Rex stops struggling. Then, after all that drama lama, Crane points the video away. You get a few shots of the floor as Crane quickly walks to the door.]

[The angle jerks up as Crane runs into someone. Why, it's Eddie Brock. Who looks more than a little bit surprised.]

"What the hell?" [You so shrill, Eddie.]

[Crane's pretty quick off the mark in replying.]

Everything went according to your plan. You should be happy that it went so well. [Crane says, before the camera angle tilts and he walks past Eddie. The camera feed cuts out.]

[And cuts back in, with a reasonably obvious time skip. Crane's standing in a different corridor, angling the camera at himself.] Well, I think everyone can feel better about the whole nanomite situation. Let it not be said that just because the wardens aren't prepared to fix a situation, there aren't other members of the barge willing to step up to the plate.

[And end video post.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Not quite/ugh)
As much as people here like to say that we don't age, some measure of time must pass here. The plants in the garden still grow and the passing of time seems to affect animals.

[Have a shot of spider babies, people. Crane's spiders made glorious offspring. I'll spare you guys a picture, but just imagine tiny spiders amongst the adult ones in the tank. The tiny spiders are moving around pretty quickly.]

They might start to consume each other at any moment. You can imagine the primal fear going through the newborns. Even at the earliest stages of life, they acknowledge the mortal peril that the large spiders could inflict on them at any moment. Consumption, for no better reason than a whim considering the food that the tank provides for them.

[Crane pauses, leaving the video shot on the tank. One of the big spiders is moving towards some of the younger ones.] Just think, this must be what we look like to the Admiral.

[Private - Eddie (added later)]

Riddle solved. Kay, Narvin, Cooper and Washington. [Kay told him so.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (What are these stairs doing?)
Trying to avoid Dawsey. Where are you?

[Crane won't be replying on account of having an argument with Perry. But here's your warning that something is very wrong, Eames. c:

And sorry for the flist spam, guys. :c]
