doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Sure/Conern)
For once, I want to hear the opinions of all of you. Wardens, inmates. I don't particularly care which. What do you consider necessary for graduation? Where's the bar that your inmate has to reach? That you think you have to reach as an inmate?

While I've spent most of my life dealing in moral ambiguity, the spectacularly difficult task of identifying just what makes graduating possible is beyond me. It seems to be like some variety of mirage, which you spend all your time following in the hope that one day someone will declare you standing in the middle of it. It's an impossibly frustrating target.

[Private - Eames]

This isn't a criticism of you. I just want to know what they think.
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (zfanfic Crane posing right now)
[Guys you get... fanfic Crane. He's currently reading a book. It's a very scientific book. You should all be impressed. By his science.]

It appears that we are on some form of space ship. [Crane pauses. Dramatically.] Yet my research must continue.

[He pauses again. And closes the book.] I require volunteers to take part in a study that I have tragically been unable to complete since college. I will need volunteers. Many volunteers.

[Private to Gotham villains]

I need to know. [Yet another dramatic pause.] Is Batman here?

[OOC: So, because I'm a terrible person, if you tag in with a spam fanfic!Crane will probably try to make out with you. For science. Fair warning though, Crane will hold a grudge about it once the flood is over.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (This isn't going well)
[Crane is holding up his journal awkwardly with one hand and trying to stop his bleeding nose with the other. He's pretty obviously been hit in the face a couple of times.]

People of the barge. I'm very sorry for what I said about Rex. I recommend people not going against him because of... [Crane pauses to gesture at his face and then looks up at someone just past the journal for approval.] ...continuing circumstances on the barge. Things could get violent.

Also, I provide a public apology to Rex. Sorry. [Most flat sounding apology ever.]

[And then, added later about thirty minutes after the initial post. Crane is bruising up nicely. His nose has stopped bleeding. Cue sarcasm.]

Well, that was original. So touching. A moving apology and so sincere! I can see how it's clearly going to change life on the barge forever. [Crane pauses, and shifts to a more normal tone.] We'll see if it takes. Because I don't think that it will.

[Warden Filter]

Which one of you is Iago's warden? As much as I like my bi-monthly assault, presumably you're going to do something about it?

[Filter to Eames, Capa, Eddie and Claire.]

One of you. Get me ice.

[OOC: So, Iago took issue with Crane hassling Rex and wanted to send out a warning to other potential Rex hasslers. Which is basically this post. c:]

[So terribly public.]

Let's have a conversation, shall we? What's a theme that no one has ever discussed? Let me think. The wardens, perhaps? How terrible they are? How your warden does love you enough? How you feel like there's not justice in the system? [Crane laughs.]

Let's reestablish the facts. You have been kidnapped. You are being held in a prison against your will, by force. You have been stripped of your powers, if you have any. You have a personal jailer. This is not a situation where you can expect justice. This is not a situation where you have 'human rights'. You do not have control. You cannot change this situation. [Crane almost says resistance is futile, but that seems like laying it on a bit thick.]

Arthas is right. By all means, sit and whine impotently or take the other option of rising against the wardens. But do you know something? It won't make a difference. You cannot overthrow them. If you want to leave, you're either going to disappear one morning or you're going to graduate.

[Pause in the rant. Crane shrugs.]

I have a truly strange suggestion. Perhaps due to my aversion of simply disappearing one day, why don't we all focus a little bit harder on attempting to graduate? Swing did it. It can't be that hard. And frankly, [dropping to a low, 'meaningful' voice.] how many of you can say that here is really all that worse then where you would have been otherwise?

[OOC: What do you do when you finally have the promise of lab access? Make a pro-warden speech! Behold, a pretty obvious attempt to get Capa's trust so Crane can make more fear toxin to make everyone have an extra wonderful day.]
doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (I See)
Have fun at your drunken party, boys and girls. Some positive social gathering on the barge could be good for morale. [Crane sounds patronizing, but sincere.]

[Private - Hayley Stark]

Having any more luck with recalling your memories?

[Private - Eddie Nygma]

I'm setting the time to meet with Slade. He'll be sufficiently distracted for you to do whatever you need to do.

[Private - Slade]

A word, if you'd please. I have something that I need to discuss with you.

[Private - Rose]

May I ask you for a favor? I need your assistance with a situation that may become an issue.

[Private - Piper]

Can I work in the garden?
