For once, I want to hear the opinions of all of you. Wardens, inmates. I don't particularly care which. What do you consider necessary for graduation? Where's the bar that your inmate has to reach? That you think you have to reach as an inmate?

While I've spent most of my life dealing in moral ambiguity, the spectacularly difficult task of identifying just what makes graduating possible is beyond me. It seems to be like some variety of mirage, which you spend all your time following in the hope that one day someone will declare you standing in the middle of it. It's an impossibly frustrating target.

I've also been hearing some less than savory rumors about you, which I distinctly hope are untrue.

Rumors? What rumors, and from who did you hear them?

From some vampire that you'd been drinking vampire blood. "V", as he called it. I didn't even know that was possible.

Why is this rumor 'unsavory' to you?

You didn't actually do it, did you? I had assumed that he was lying.

The purpose was entirely scientific.

I suppose that makes sense, given the fact that even if it killed you you'd still be back. How many times did you take it?

How many times would you say was needed for this experiment?

Considering the fact it's addictive I would be reluctant to take it more than one or twice, despite the scientific inaccuracy that would promote.

The numerous times I consumed it are well into the range of unacceptable. Addictive was right.

Past tense-- I haven't touched V in months.

I can't believe that you didn't tell me you were undergoing addiction problems. We could have invented a chemical to counterbalance its affects.

It's practical uses were worth the addictive side effects, which were few and far between. I wouldn't have called it a problem. It didn't hinder my every day life.

So the practical uses were significantly beneficial?

Were they not mentioned to you?

I'm hardly going to believe him. What affects did you take note of?

If Franklin is your only available provider, the worth is significantly crippled. But your wounds heal, a super-strength is endowed, perceptions increase.

An appealing package. [A sigh.] It would be something that I would ordinarily be interested in studying, but with things as they are I simply can't.

How would you say things are?

I've never been one to shy away from peril.

I'm trying to achieve graduation. Just because it isn't working doesn't mean that I should stop. Not just yet, in any case.
