doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Default)

[4] - Post Flood

I don't even need to ask what that was. Changing the 'barge' drugs in the air to some kind of 'cruise' drugs? Amnesia as a side effect isn't even surprising.

To the people I was socialising with on the roof, I assure you, we weren't partaking in anything fatal. Just some recreational materials that I happened to have. No harm done.

To everyone else who I encountered, I am not an accountant. I am a certified psychiatrist, and no, I don't have any 'side businesses.'

OOC: Crane would rather admit to dealing drugs then stealing stuff from the garden and risking exposing the fact he's trying to make a chemical concoction. I may also be slow in responses because I'm pretty sick, but I thought I should get the post up instead of backdating it later. :3

[ooc: Want him to kick you down some stairs now??]

[Alastair is just loitering around Crane's level with no where in particular to be or do]

[Spam-in-a-Can] LOL STAIRS. ILU

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:19 am (UTC)(link)
[After spending a while writing to various people on the bizarre messaging/journal system on his laptop, Crane decides to wander up to the roof to make sure all of the 'evidence' is gone. He goes out into the hallway and sees... a man in the distance. Crane hesitates, but decides to approach him on his way to the stairs.]

[Spam is delishush ham]

[identity profile] cantrunfromme.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Alastair's memories from the last few days were fresh. He was pleased he hadn't done anything too embarrassing but knew he wouldn'g have done anything out of sorts so assured he was of his character. He heard a noise at the end of the hallway. Lifting his head up he saw the good doctor Crane, manipulator... deciever... you know, a guy he could like.]

Doctor! [A wide smile cracked his face] Catching the night air? I read in reader's digest the inhalation of rust particles does wonders for your lungs, previously deceased or not.

[Spam is the man]

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Up closer, Crane recognised Alastair from the rather disturbing video he had displayed a while ago. He remembered their deal, although he didn't know if he actually wanted on going through with it. Damn cold feet... the infirmary still needed investigation.]

Alastair. [Crane said, offering his hand.] Nice to finally meet in person. You look much improved since I last saw you.

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
Just happened to have?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
Given some of the other things people have on board, it's not that surprising. It might have even been what you gave me in exchange for borrowing the flints.

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
I certainly hope not. What exactly...happened?

[Spam pn a man?]

[identity profile] cantrunfromme.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
Hardly, [He takes Crane's hand and holds it stiffly. Alastair looked down at where their hands met in longing. Oh how much he wanted to break every single bone with in it, to hear the comforting crack of them under his power.]

still afflicted with being underpowered and underused. You however [His eyes flick up back to Crane without letting go of his hand of course] have much less pallor on your cheeks. So perhaps it should be I who is asking whether you feel better or not, Doctor.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
A mistake based on a lack of knowledge. No one was hurt, if anything, the whole situation is just a bit embarrassing.

How did you fare during the last few days?

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
Quite well, actually.

[Private]

Nothing more embarrassing than getting mistaken for the Sergeant's fiancee. If only for short while.

[Spam doesn't kiss and tell :D]

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Crane suddenly was intensely aware that offering to shake hands was a rather stupid thing to do. He tried to tactfully remove it from Alastair's rather firm grasp. The man had an odd intensity, and in person the general feeling of being not quite right seemed to radiate off him.]

I'm quite well. [Crane was painfully aware of Alastair still grasping his hand.] Underpowered, you say?

Private - Crane's trying to subtly ask if Rose made out with Howie lol

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
I think that trumps being under the impression that I was some kind of drug dealing accountant. Hopefully, despite the mistake, you and the Sergeant remained rather impersonal?

Private - XD

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
Quite. Even in that state, he was boring, morally self righteous and prudish.

Private

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
Some things never change. At least you can rest assured that is simply the way he is, rather then any kind of reaction to your presence.

[Spam puts up naked photos on facebook :x]

[identity profile] cantrunfromme.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
Why, yes. You are aware of the limitations placed on inmates here? We aren't all made of the same flesh and blood as men.

[He was still gripping Crane's hand. The minimal offerings of entertainment on this ship could never compare to that of the reading of emotion of a weary individual. The odd drip of sweat from the brow, the involuntary twitch of prey in the presence of a predator. It was better than a night at the opera.]

Some of us, oh how do you ones in your profession put it? Are filled with the delusions that we have abilities beyond that of which the common mortal man is capable of. Now isn't that absurd?

Private

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yes. But I knew that about him already. It was just a relief to see my theories confirmed.

So, aside from thinking yourself a...drug dealing accountant...how did you fare?

[Spam only does it after it's been drinking!]

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, quite absurd. [Crane had the feeling that he was rather out of his depth. Not to mention that he would very much like his hand back.] Although, considering the general calibre of most of the people here, that's hardly surprising that there's a high level of deep pathological disturbance.

[Crane was tempted to simply start trying to yank his hand free. He settled for trying to draw it back gently, hoping that Alastair would realise what he was doing and let it go.]

Private

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well enough. Some problems with Dr. Facilier, but it is to be expected. That man is gradually making himself many enemies.

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
I don't believe I've interacted with him much. He's far too...outspoken.

I am on my way to breakfast, Doctor Crane. Would you like to join me? We can continue this conversation there.

[Spam and I have something in common]

[identity profile] cantrunfromme.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'd love to hear more about these pathological disturbances, when you have the time. [He fought back the urge to laugh at Crane's struggles] Would you like your hand back?

[identity profile] christ-onabike.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
C'mon, I wouldn't have smoked it if I thought it was going to fuck me up.

I'd have damn well known better.

You're a psychiatrist?

Where did you study?

What kind of recreational materials?

[identity profile] future-games.livejournal.com 2010-05-19 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
...You can't seriously still believe this is an asylum?

What..."drugs in the air" are you talking about?
