Dr Jonathan Crane. [A pause.] I would be particularly interested in individuals that used to be on the barge, if any of you are out there.

written, like forever. :D

Still there, Doctor Crane?

Disappointing.

XDD

It's due to the arbitrariness of the barge system, not me.

Mmhm. The best criminals always blame the system.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
And sometimes the system is flawed.

[identity profile] pleasesmirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. But sometimes you are, too.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And in what way am I flawed, since you have such grand insights?

[identity profile] pleasesmirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Your arrogance, your paranoia, your lack of genuine care for fellow human beings, your self assurance, your inability to accept blame, your constant whining, your belief in the power of fear and fear alone.

On many, Dr Crane, I know I am right as it... takes one to know one.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't whine. I provide social criticism of the barge as it is.

[identity profile] pleasesmirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Whilst entirely ignoring your own problems.

Shall I add superiority complex and attention seeking to the list?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
And what makes you qualified enough to make said list?

[identity profile] pleasesmirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Very little, in terms of qualifications.

The process and experience of noticing several of those flaws in myself, and correcting them, combined with years of experience trying to work out the causes and reasons for criminal behaviour. Which, I admit, I initially got gravely wrong, but matters have significantly improved, I believe. From what I read, I was the very first Well, I criminal psychologist on the Disc.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
The Disc? [Pause. Crane vaugely remembers it.] Some parallel universe or another, I assume. But you can't seriously pretend to have any insight into how I am in one conversation after a number of months of separation.

You certainly seem to make a habit of it, Doctor.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-17 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Not recently. But you wouldn't know that, would you?

[identity profile] pleasesmirk.livejournal.com 2011-11-17 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
A fair point, Dr Crane.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2011-11-19 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. So I won't be taking your advice too seriously.
