doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (I See)

[5] - Flood Affected, lol.

A flood? What on earth is that supposed to be? There isn't water anywhere, even if this place was so poorly architecturally designed that it didn't have a sufficient drainage system.

If this is some kind code for a change of medication, I'm going to find the Admiral and show him exactly what it's like to be... [crossed out words are illegible]

...Dr. Facilier, I've also been considering your strange shadow creature. I want to know how it works. You must have been quite inventive to create a being of such lifelike proportions. It's genius, in its way.

[Private to Max]

A Doctor was looking for volunteers in the infirmary. Since menial labor is apparently a meaningful occupation, can I have permission to volunteer? Considering my past medical experience, I think I'd be more then competant in an emergency.

But that is so obvious. This one seems a bit more...subtle.

Care to share your enlightenment?

Certainly you remember Sergeant Howie? The one who has antagonized me from the beginning?

He has suddenly developed an urge to be civil. And, not just civil but...almost friendly.

Perhaps he finally reached the part in his bible about forgiveness and love thy neighbour.

Although, in all seriousness, that is rather odd. He was very convinced of his dislike for you.

And he is not the type to adopt something of this nature for a ploy. The man is tragically predictable.

He does seem to be somewhat lacking in guile. He could have chosen to spread a lie about what you'd apparently done to him, but instead he chose to say nothing and stew in his own silence.

Private

Oh but he does spread lies. Unfortunately, they are the tales of a man who believes his own lies.

Imagine him as Don Quixote, if you will. He truly believes in the giants, though they are simply windmills. And he will forever try and best them.

Oh, that is one of the very best kinds. It is amazing the type of subconcious mental gymnastics he must be doing to achieve such a thing. It isn't that surprising that something gave way to create his odd new reaction towards you.

Private- Totally not omnious at all....

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-30 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I am sure that I can make the best of this situation, as I am equally sure this newfound desire will not last long with him.

Yes, you must use what you can. Make the most of it.

You and I agree on so much, Doctor Crane. It is...very refreshing to go through a discussion without malicious argument.

Private

Yes, it's true. Some people take things so personally. Considering how this is a barge half full of criminals, they aren't very accepting.

Private

[identity profile] preachyrose.livejournal.com 2010-05-30 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think accepting will ever truly be a feeling here. Not with the people I've seen.

I've forgotten to ask. Have you recovered from your previous...encounter?

The people in general seem to be of the same low quality.

My arm is still in the cast, but it's not painful. And Alastair is stll in some kind a coma, thank god.

That is a relief, to say the least. Well, enjoy the rest of your day, Doctor Crane.

Let's hope for no more surprises.

Oh, believe me. I plan on it.

Especially with no warden to manage my movements.

Private

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-05-31 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
You're very lucky. My warden has been leniant, but it's far better to have none at all.

I'm sure it might seem that way but- well, I have taken up too much of your time as it is, Doctor.

Enjoy your day.
