[Crane’s holding the device up, and you can see from the wall behind him that he’s in zero.]

I don’t see why you’re all taking this so personally. It isn’t that different from one of your little floods, is it? And it’s not like the lot of you didn’t have it coming.

[Crane shrugs, as if to say ‘my bad’.]

Have fun with the cleanup. I’m sure there will be lots of exciting things to find around the barge.

[Crane gives the camera a bit of a grin, then moves the device away to turn it off. You can still see for a second that he doesn't look as cheerful as his tone would indicate.]

[Whoops, Crane’s in zero (brought down by Sam Tyler) and still a little bit high from the fear gas. He’s decided that he doesn’t really care if other people know he caused it because he reckons the information will get around anyway. He also doesn’t know that Ms Rose is alive yet either. I’m also open for a spam with any wardens coming down to visit him or other cool cats in zero. And this post is dated to around Sunday evening.]

[The device switches on and she's pale, disheveled but quite obviously alive. For a moment, she says nothing and then in a muddled, soft voice...]

[Crane looks shocked. He hadn't entirely believed Howie.]

Ms Rose? [Long pause, Crane looks away.] I saw what they did to you.

[She nods a bit and puts a hand to her cheek.]

What he did to me. What your Joker did to me.

The Joker? [Crane looks completely dumbfounded for a moment. Then gets it together.]

The Joker. Of course it was. In a lab coat he stole from one of the staff.

[She looks stoic, though there is emotion in her eyes. Fear and...apprehension. She nods once.]

He caught me as I was going inside. I...tried to escape, to find you-someone- but I could not.

I am sorry. [Crane looks it as well.] I should have been there.

[Silence...silence....silence. Change of subject!]

What did you do, Jonathan? [Yes, she did just use his first name.]

[Gaaasp. Crane doesn't correct her!]

I had thought it was the staff. So I thought that they should have a sample of what they've been handing out to the inmates. [Crane leaves out actually enjoying the mayhem the fear gas caused. Or at least the idea of it, having been caught in it himself.]

[He saved himself a lineface then!] A chemical that induces fear?

That was very rash. [She gets tired of holding the communicator, so she sets it down and there's an interesting view of the ceiling before she situates it again.]

Yes, fear. [It was probably sad that Crane recognised the infirmary ceiling from all the times he'd been in there.]

...How are you?

[She sighed.] About as well as one might imagine, considering what was done to me. [The schoolteacher took a deep, painful breath.]

How long are you there? Is...he there, too?

I don't know. They brought someone in before, who might have been him. [Crane has a very dark look on his face.] Something should be done about him.

Oh, I would agree. But...not quite yet. [There was a hint of fear in her tone at that statement.]

You should not be there in the first place. [She settles down on the bed, resting her cheek against the pillow, obviously fighting medication.]

Don't worry about that. [Plans could and would be made.] Just focus on recovering.

What else can I do in this place? They give medicine and pills for everything. [Her speech was now beginning to slur ever so slightly.] You cannot hope to heal properly without sunlight and fresh air.

Ask them to take you outside. [Crane didn't sound as if he thought it would be likely to happen.] But take their pills, and get some rest.

I want them to take me to see you. You should not be there. [She seemed firm on this.] And I have taken their pills. That is why I...cannot stay awake.

I can't come to see you yet. Sergeant Howie won't allow it. [Nice blame pinning there Crane.]

Oh Sergeant Howie? [That perked her up slightly, but only for a moment.] I'm quite sure I can fix that, Doctor.

I hope you can. He won't be convinced by me.

He owes me a great debt as he refused to help me when I went to him. [She reaches over and turns it to voice, not wanting to fall asleep while it was still on.]

Be careful, Jonathan.

He refused to help you? [Crane sounds disgusted.] And don't be concerned about my welfare. If there's one benefit to zero, it's that inmates can't easily access it.

Mm-yes. Enjoy your solitude, Doctor. I will speak with the Sergeant....when...I can.

Just... try to recover.
