doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (More shrink talk)

[22] - Voice

I have a specimen that I think has lived in a bucket for a little too long. I would like a proper enclosure for it. Admiral, it can be plastic if you don't think I can be trusted with glass. [Crane sounds thoroughly unimpressed by this. He's referring to a non poisonous huntsman spider, that appeared in a Rom Com cupboard with Eddie and himself.]

[Crane pauses before continuing.] I'm rather surprised that the murder in the garden was handled so well. Was it because the culprit was reasonably obvious or due to actual police work?

[Private - Rose]

The garden is less quiet than I would have expected. I trust that you weren't affected by the recent events?

[Private - Hayley]

I want to show you some instructions. I need to know if you're capable of performing them.

What doctor? [Ray actually hasn't properly met Crane yet. He's probably seen him in passing, but he doesn't know his name. Or title. Or reason for being an inmate.]

[1/2] - GOSH Crane thinks that everyone should know him.

[. . .] Right. And if I find a guy standing over a dead body with a smoking gun in his hand, I'm gonna go look for the aliens who're manipulating the mind rays that made him do it. [This isn't the Twilight Zone, buddy. Except of course it is, but, y'know. Barge newb.]

Well, the obvious solution is always the right one, isn't it?

No. Not always. But that's why we've got this thing called chain of evidence. [. . .] Or, well. Should have.

I was engaging in a little thing called sarcasm. You may be unfamiliar with the concept.

Good luck following your chain of evidence with the bizarre things that occur here.

And you might be unfamiliar with the concept of conducing a proper crime scene investigation in order to build a solid case. Wouldn't surprise me; seems like that concept is generally an unfamiliar one here on this boat.

Bizarre things like what, for example?

Considering the amount of time I spent sitting through various criminal cases and appearing as an expert witness, I do have some experience in the area.

You might want to ask someone, a warden, to show you. It's too ridiculous to explain any other way.
