doctor_j_crane: Crane looking neutral. (Default)

[8] - Post-Port (Video)

[It's pretty clear by the large amount of people in the background that Crane's currently sitting in the infirmary.]

Apparently, zombies exist and are fairly hungry. [Crane sounds absolutely terrible. As in worst sore throat ever. Important things got eaten by the zombies, bb.] Also, we seem to actually be on a magical barge.

[Pause]

Cue the candid camera moment. Your experiment is successful. I actually have gone so far over the other edge of things that I think this place might actually exist.

[Five seconds of slow clapping. Clap, clap, clap.]

My main question is why would the Admiral do this to us? What does he gain? Why is this happening? Why are we here? What are you wardens getting from this? Why not just leave us to rot after being dead?

[After putting that large amount of effort into that little rant, Crane bursts into a fit of some pretty serious coughing. After he finishes, he turns back to the camera, even raspier then before.]

Why do all of you people put up with this?

[Private - Max]

Thanks. For keeping me company in the infirmary. [Not sarcastic, genuine.]

[oh, uhm, video btw (derp)]

[is that a sympathetic wince? COVERS IT IMMEDIATELY]

Fine first death toll. Ought to be nominated for an award.

[tries to golf-clap and OW that smarts]

...huh, I think I actually agree with you for once. Man - if he's a man - must be a damn sadist. With twice the sins of the Inmates combined, far as I'm concerned.

With how many folks disappear and never come back, I don't believe him a bit, either.

O-M-G, they might actually be having a positive conversation. The Admiral: uniting inmates in hate.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
You don't look too good yourself. [Slight smile.] Did a zombie manage to catch up to you as well? They were faster then I would have thought the rigor mortis would allow.

I think something should be done about it. There must be some way to hold him accountable, if not just asking what the hell is going on.

Apparently Faci's very forgiving if the other guy humbles himself by getting eviscerated.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Nothin' like you, just busted an arm and got real banged up. [frown] And these weren't zombis. Zombis are from vodou, they're always slaves to someone. Even I don't mess with them.

There's a new message 'bout it every other week, no one does anything. Either they find out they can't, or it gets nipped in the bud real fast. I don't even wanna know how.

<3<3

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Even so, needless pain is never a pleasant thing. The infirmary is very crowded at the moment, but if you make enough noise someone will come and help. And I have to agree, any type of zombie does not seem like a good thing to be near.

I find it odd that no one even wants to see if these things are preventable, or how we could brace ourselves against them. It's like they're happy with just letting it go on.

<33 (And now someone, somewhere, will begin shipping it. Even if they kill each other later.)

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Long as it's trussed up properly, I'm fine lettin' everyone else whine for attention. [smirk]

They may have tried. May have learned why you shouldn't try. Or maybe it's just that whenever the complaining starts to get real loud, some Inmate off and vanishes and shows up again "reformed", keeps everyone quiet. I just know I ain't tilting at this windmill by myself.

...That's a hilariously awesome ship. Love it! :D

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
There certainly seems to be enough people doing that.

The vanishing concerns me as well. I've always wondered if those inmates were close to reaching the truth of the Admiral and this place, only to be spirited away with no explanation. This reforming, as you indicated, does seem to be rather close to brain washing.

The whole Barge needs one of those pairing randomizers.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Nh. I'd switch this private, but if he's as powerful as we keep talking, then he can see it.

[chuckles as he realizes something] Ain't too far from your asylum theory, is it? Just doesn't line us up as a pack of delusional fools.

The crack that would result would be awesome.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Crane thinks about this for a moment.] I suppose it isn't. It just is in a different place to what I would have expected.

[Sighs, or more correctly, makes an ugly rasping sound.] I still can't quite get my head around the fact that this place exists.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-24 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
World - worlds, s'more like it - are full of mysterious things.

You're a quarter crazy or something anyway, ain't you? So run with it a little.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-24 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Given the existence of this place, I can't deny that.

If I am, it's entirely the fault of the Batman.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"The Batman".

You ain't doin' wonders for your case here, Crane, I'm just sayin'.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
It's true. If you don't believe me, you can ask Edward Nygma about him. Or the Joker, if that's your kind of thing.

he's being a goodnatured asshole instead of just an asshole. progress! :D

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, Crane, tell me 'bout this Joker, he a part of the id or the superego? Or a repressed desire to...have some kind of forbidden sex, you'll have to excuse me, my time only got about as far as Freud.

Heh, all right, in all seriousness. Any story about someone called 'the Batman' is gonna entertain me for at least fifteen minutes. How'd he make you crazy?

Progress indeed! :D

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
The Batman has one of those exceedingly original names that describes exactly what he is. He is a man who dresses up as a bat, in order to fight crime. I assure you, you're not the only person to notice the leap in his logic. After assaulting more or less half of the city, he decided it would be a good idea to attack my with a rather unfortunate product while I was unarmed. It was a special chemical concoction that provided very unpleasant hallucinations. So if I am unstable, it's an after effect of that.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm not sure if I should yell at you for thinkin' we're all crazy after knowing someone like that, or shrug and say that's exactly why you assumed.

Chemicals that make you see things - that sounds real familiar. This bat study at the school of irony, by any chance?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you can understand how I assumed that such extremes of insanity were indeed possible.

It didn't give him the right. He doesn't kill, or he didn't then, but he did that. It was very hypocritical.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I didn't say a thing about the "right", that ain't my business. Just makin' sure I'm up to speed on all the details.

Either case, you wanted to see what happened, didn't you? Now you've got a perfect view.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
The perfect view is useless. There's no way to benefit from it, and it effectively biases any future research.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
I'm gonna guess that was the idea. That or he's a 'taste of your own medicine' type, which I can't fault - in theory, I mean, nothin' personal.

An' you still see things now?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
The 'taste of your own medicine' is the theory he uses, which is ridiculous, because he acts as if he's saving the city.

...I don't know. If the barge is real, maybe, maybe not. Strange things do happen around here though, so it's hard to tell if it's just me.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Good test of that's if everyone else is seeing it, or just you.

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
That would be the logical solution, if there wasn't a chance this place was an asylum. Even if it isn't, most of the people here are clinically unstable anyway.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
All right, we honestly back to that? Do I sound crazy to you?

[identity profile] doctor-j-crane.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Not you. You're obviously one of the saner people here. I was thinking of Alastair, the Joker. Even people like Rex spend half their time having fits.

[identity profile] amagicalmystery.livejournal.com 2010-06-27 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
[...smirk]

Heh, well. Ask me, then.
