He didn't leave you behind. He's still on the Barge. Just too distracted to work in a volatile lab, I think.... I could have done without the disruption to my routine, but... [Yes, he found the difficulty upsetting, but there's some very personal attachment there that's gone wrong.] As it is I apologize for not realizing your work schedule would be affected and try to do what I can to smooth things over.
