I don't like that Narvin can decide when I work in the lab based on his social calender. I'd like to have Capa placed in charge of my lab supervision, given that it's not like he has an off barge social life in the slightest.

I'd also like some explanation of that Alpha fellow. You didn't seem to have an overly comfortable conversation with him on your journal. [Stalker Crane is stalking you, Kay.]

For the record, while I don't mind you working for Capa, I'd rather you asked him because you liked him better and felt more comfortable working under him. Not because one guy who had something very bad happen to him suddenly didn't meet your standards.

Well, that is why I want to work with Capa. He's one of the few wardens I interact with socially. [Code for a friend, oh ho.]

Of course he was. I think that he should have a job, preferably in the garden. He strikes me as the type of fellow who needs to keep busy. [There may be something of an ulterior motive in this.]

Well I'm not his warden anymore. And I figure with the sorry lack of help in the kitchens he'd better be put to use there since he doesn't have training as a gardener that I know of.

Why would you be interested in him working there?

The garden occasionally requires more manual labor than I feel inclined to do. I prefer other aspects of the work.

I quite like working with plants in general. It's part of my specialty for a reason, after all. It's just the more mundane elements of their care that I'm less interested in.

Well, you can just check in at the greenhouse until everything is cleared with Capa if that's the case. Even if Narvin and I work out our disagreement, you seem pretty unhappy and I'd rather you work with someone you can get along with.

Yes, quite. Either way, I prefer the lab. Even the physics side of things, which is more or less what working with Capa consists of.

Yes. Likely it's the port acknowledging that we have more or less identical genetic material.

I think in some cases it has. Of course, there is the opposite end of the scale as well. In one port, someone I hated was my wife. It may just be based on strong feelings either way.
