I would warn the rest of you, this is the tip of the iceberg. We need these people out of our town and this carnival gone. Now. Or is one girl being shot not enough? Would you all rather two or three?

I hope she's alright, too. But for the record the bleeding was staunched when I got there and I cleaned the wound with alcohol and iodine and then dressed it. Just in case she needs some fresh bandages or something.

I don't know him personally. He's just sort of... unusual. [He's not real certain on him being harmless, being that Carlos has a crazy twin brother in an asylum, he's a touch wary.]

I don't really enjoy making conversation with him [And he talks to the incredible Hulk], but that doesn't mean he's to blame. Anyone can buy a balloon from a man, especially a child wanting to pull a juvenile prank. [God, so creepy.]

Yes, I find that so very believable. It's only a matter of time before someone gets shot again, probably only one town over.

Are you implying that the balloon was placed there by one of the town children? [Crane's not going to say so, but he thinks it's possible.]

No, I'm not lying. And I think it could have been. Mostly I just want to go and miss my friend who's going to be on her way. [He wants to go get so very drunk now. He's only been drunk once when someone spiked the lemonade at a social. Now he just wants to do it because supposedly it fixes things and he's in a mood to be belligerent.] If you have any questions about the help, Mrs. Morgan ought to be able to field them.

It doesn't matter if the person in question is leaving. It doesn't solve the overall problem. I also strongly suspect that I will have no more questions about the carnival. I know all I need to know.
